The Frontier Base Ball Club was an amateur Fort Smith, AR base ball team in 1869.
History
The Frontier B.B.C. intended to play in the 1869 State Championship at the Arkansas State Fair in October. However, while traveling to Little Rock by boat on the Arkansas River, the vessel became stuck on a sandbar. It stayed there for a day or two day before being able to continue, causing the Frontier club to miss the baseball championship. Nonetheless, out of sportsmanship, the Rock City and Dixie clubs each played the Fort Smith team a game. The Frontier club lost both games.
