Marshall Riddle

Marshall Lewis Riddle, born April 22nd, 1918 in Warren, AR,1 was a Negro League baseball player from 1937-1943 and a professional baseball player in 1951.

Biography

Riddle was the son of Lawson Riddle and Beulah (nee Robbins) Riddle.2 Riddle moved with his family to St. Louis, MO, by 1930.3

Riddle was a small, well-hitting middle infielder. Riddle played in the 1939 and 1940 East-West all-star classics. Later, he played with Trois-Rivieres in the Provincial League in 1951.

Riddle died on September 2nd, 1988 in Saint Louis, MO.4 He was buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Lemay, MO.5
