Morley Jennings

William Morley Jennings, also known as Bill Morley, born January 23rd, 1890 in Holland, MI,1 was a professional baseball player from 1912-1922. Jennings was a longtime head coach of Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, AR.

Biography

Morley Jennings was the son of Rev. William Jennings and Anna Sophia (nee Osmond) Jennings.2

Jennings appeared in two major leauge games with the Washington Senators in 1913.

Jennings was resident of Arkadelphia, AR where he was a long-time baseball and football coach with the Ouachita Baptist Tigers. He was voted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1973.

Jennings died May 14th, 1985 in Lubbock, TX.3 He was buried in City of Lubbock Cemetery in Lubbock.4
