Arky Biggs

Carlos1 Alton "Arky" Biggs, born April 14th, 1912 in Greenbrier, AR was a professional baseball player from 1934-1951. He was the brother-in-law of T. J. Johnston.2


Biggs had a remarkably long baseball career, but never played in the Major leagues.

Biggs died on May 14th, 1981 in Faulkner County, AR.3 He was buried in Needs Creek Cemetery in Faulkner County.4


"Carlos (Arky) Biggs, veteran minor league infielder, has been named manager of the Greenville (Cotton States) Bucks, succeeding Joe Rullo, who piloted the team to sixth place last year. A native of Greenbrier, Ark., where he owns a farm, the 35-year-old infielder played with Little Rock (Southern) part of last season. Most of his career was spent in the American Association and Pacific Coast and he had a season with the White Sox during the war."5
