
Biography
Gibbie Meek was the son of Gibbie Meek Sr. and Eula (nee Henry) Meek.3 He moved from Warren, AR, to St. Louis, MO, as a child.
After his discharge from the Army, Meek joined the 1946 St. Louis Giants.4 In July, he was signed by the Brooklyn Brown Dodgers,5 and later that season he played with the Pittsburgh Crawfords of the United States League. From 1947-1953, Meek played with the St. Louis Stars.6
Meek died on March 17th, 2015.7 He was buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.
