Excerpts

"Fred Clarke, the Pirates' leader, has signed . . . infielder Cypert, of Arkansas University . . ."1

"Cypert, with the Grand Rapids, Central League, team for a time this season, is playing fine ball for Muskegon on the last turn. Britton was released to let Cypert in, the latter being a far better hitter."2

"Patterson and Cypert, the two Muskegon outfielders, are clouting the ball at a terrific gait . . ."3

"Where is Boyd Cypert, who was given a try-out with the Naps? Boyd Cypert with Muskegon in the Michigan State League this season"4

"Boyd Cypert, a local product, has been playing a very acceptable game with the Travelers in exhibition games, and the management might do worse than signing him. He is a good hitter, and knows the game. That is worth something, and cannot be said of many shortstops that are playing the game in fast company."5
