Brown Rogers was the fourth of seven children born to North Carolina native James Madison Rogers and Margaret Elizabeth Brown. He was named after his maternal grandfather and grew up in Pope County, AR where the Rogers family was engaged in farming.2 However, when Brown was 13, his mother died.3
Rogers died on August 6th, 1932 in Bexar County, TX4 and was buried in Oakland Cemetery in Russellville, AR.5
