Daffin Field

Daffin Field was a baseball park in Batesville, AR and was the home field of the Arkansas College baseball team, the Batesville White Sox in 1936 and 1938, as well as the Batesville Pilots from 1940-1941.

History

The field was located near 23rd Street on the campus of was is now Lyon College in Batesville, AR. It was named after Lyon’s former Athletic Directer and science teacher John Baker Daffin, who had the field constructed in 1921. Lights were installed in 1931.

Today, although no sign a baseball park was ever there, the field is still used by Lyon, but for soccer rather than baseball. It is now known as Huser Field, named after Marshall Huser.
