Williams Kavanaugh

Williams Marmaduke Kavanaugh, born March 3rd, 1866 in Eutaw, AL, was a professional baseball executive. He was the president of the Southern Association from 1903-1915. He lived in Little Rock, AR much of his life.

Biography

Kavanaugh moved to Little Rock, AR in 1886. In 1903, he became president of the Southern Association, a position where he served until his death on February 21st, 1915 in Little Rock. Kavanaugh Field was named in his honor.
