"CHARLIE CARROLL CALLAWAY, age 58, of Little Rock, died Tuesday, February 21, 1995. Born in Hollywood, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Joel and Gertrude Callaway. He was a retired sales executive with Xerox. He played baseball with the American Legion Doughboys and later played professional baseball. He also coached youth baseball and softball teams. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He is survived by his wife, Saundra Dean Callaway of the home; a daughter, Chanda Callaway of Lake Charles, Louisiana; a son, Callan Callaway of Hot Springs; four brothers, Joe Callaway of Russellville, Leland Callaway of Nacogoches, Texas, Clell Callaway of North Little Rock and Willis Callaway of Conway; a sister, Florence Travis of Lonoke. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, at Pinecrest Memorial Park with Rev. Luke Flesher officiating. Arrangements are by Roller-Chenal Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity."4
