Charles Joseph Lemaire, born November 24th, 18821 in Arkansas,2 was a professional baseball player in 1908.

Biography

Lemaire briefly appeared with Brinkley in the 1908 Arkansas State League.

Lemaire died on December 28th, 1941 in Pulaski County, AR.3 4 He was buried in Martin Cemetery in Little Rock, AR.5

"Charlie LeMaire, who filled-in at second during Griffith's absence, played with Newport in the Arkansas State League two years ago. He is a hotel clerk by avocation, and only plays baseball on Sundays by way of recreation."6

"Charley Joseph LeMaire, 58, died at his home, Route 1, Little Rock, at 9 a. m. Sunday. He was a dairyman. Mr. LeMaire was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Mabelvale Lodge No. 353, Free and Accepted Masons and the Grotto. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth LeMaire; one son, Louis D. LeMaire, Route 1, Little Rock; one daughter, Mrs. Charles Wilson, Benton; two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Sherard and Mrs. L. L. Hamot, Little Rock, and seven grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Healey & Roth."7
