Bryan started his professional career as a relief pitcher for Dallas in the Texas League in 1933, finishing the season with Lincoln in the Nebraska State loop where he won 14 and lost 7. He dropped out of baseball until late in the 1936 campaign, joining Palestine in the East Texas circuit. He won 5 and dropped 1 with the Pals. He was with Odessa and Monahans in the WT-NM league in 1937, copping 24 and losing 9."6

He was a Baptist, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. Survivors are his wife, Lois Stobaugh Bryan; a daughter, Lou Ann Price of Houston, Tex., four grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin Leggett/Rest Hills Funeral Home by Rev. Henry Mills. Burial will be in Rest Hills Cemetery by Owens Funeral Home"8
