Clyde Ferrell

Clyde Almore Ferrell ("Jack"), born March 10th, 1879 in Augusta, AR,1 was a professional baseball player and manager in 1905.

Biography

Ferrell was a pitcher-manager for Hopkinsville in the 1904 Kitty League.

Ferrell later became a successful architect. He designed the courthouses of Montgomery, Stone and Cleburne counties in Arkansas.

"Pitcher Ferrell, of Little Rock, Ark., arrived last night and joined the Hoptown boys here."2

"Tom McBride yesterday received a letter from Clyde Ferrell, a Little Rock boy, stating that he had been elected manager and captain of the Hopkinsville (Ky.) team in the K. I. T. League. Ferrell is an old Martin Arms Company pitcher."3
