"Lonnie Clyde Wren, minor league pitcher-outfielder between 1914 and '27, died at the Veterans Hospital in Muskogee, Okla., March 20, after an illness of several years. He was 62. A native of Cushman, Ark., Wren played for McAlester, Waxahachie, Mexia, Sherman, Okmulgee, Tulsa, Enid, Pawhuska, Springfield, Mo., Duncan, Independence, Bartlesville, Temple, Austin, and Mt. Pleasant. He managed McAlester and Wichita Falls. In 1930, When and his brother established the Wren Drug Co. at Dawson, Okla., and later they operated a sundry store at their home. He is survived by two brothers, Eugene and Paul of Tulsa, and a sister, Mrs. Ewell Johnson, Owasso, Okla."5

The proper spelling of Wren's first name is not entirely clear. Some sources indicate it should be spelled "Lowney." However, Wren spelled his name "Lonnie" in his WWII draft card.
