"Walter D. "Dub" Scott Sr., 57, of 818 Parker Street, North Little Rock, a welder for the Missouri Pacific Railroad, died Saturday. Mr. Scott was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Elks Club, the American Legion and the Brotherhood of Railway Carmen of America. He was a former professional baseball player. He had managed the Prep. Poney Leagues, American Legion Baseball Teams in North Little Rock and Little Rock for several years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose Massery Scott; two sons, Walter D. "Dubber" Scott Jr. and Bryan E. Scott both of North Little Rock; two daughters, Mrs. Jackie Scott Isaacs of Memphis and Miss Trisha Scott of North Little Rock; a brother, Ralph Scott of Paducah, Ky; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Evans of North Little Rock and Mrs. Jessie Smora of Houston, Tex., and three grandchildren. Funeral will be at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Leggett by Rev. John Oswald. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Griffin-Leggett by Rev. Bede Luibel. Pallbearers will be Eddie Senteney, John Bale Jr., Billy Wise, Bill Hamilton, Red Perrymore and Ray Roberts. The family suggests that memorials take the form of contributions to St. Mary's Catholic Church Building Fund or to Arkansas Society of Hematology, University Medical Center, Little Rock."5
