Dickson attended Brookland High School before attending Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, AR. He died in Jonesboro on October 3rd, 2005 and was buried in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery3 .

"Graham Dickson, 76, of Jonesboro died Monday, Oct. 3, at St. Bernard's Medical Center. Born at Brookland, he was a graduate of Brookland High School and attended Arkansas State University. He signed to play baseball for the New York Yankees and played first base for the Oklahoma City farm club in 1948. His contract was then optioned to the Cleveland Indians where he played with the McAlister, Okla., and Fort Smith teams until 1953. He joined Tri-State Sporting Goods in Kennett, Mo. in 1954. He moved to West Memphis in 1956, where he worked for McCall's Tire and Appliance until moving back to Jonesboro and working at Childs' Office Equipment. He later joined Crane Company of Jonesboro, where he worked as purchasing supervisor for 22 years. He managed Bomanite's Northeast Arkansas and Memphis locations prior to moving to Cherokee Village to retire in 1990. There he helped found Arrowhead Construction as well as the Cherokee Village Homebuilders Association. He later joined Daggett Development where he was projects supervisor for Daggett Properties in Cherokee Village. He was active in the Jonesboro Country Club Men's Golf Association, where he was tournament chairman for nine years and was instrumental in forming the Men's Four Ball Golf Tournament. He was also active in Cherokee Village, where he helped to create the Cherokee Cup and the Thunderbird Open. He worked for the Arkansas Activities Association as a high school football and basketball referee for 28 years. He was a member of Cherokee Village United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Paula Sue Dickson of the home; and a son, Michael Dickson of Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Witt and Iva Loraine Dickson. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Emerson Funeral Home's Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Norman Fedderly officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Schaaf, Skip Covington, Henry Gschwend, Tom Gschwend, Robert Box, Joe McAlister and Ron Rhodes. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cherokee Village United Methodist Church, the ASU Men's Golf Team, or the ASU Baseball Program."5
