Harrell Wendell "Ike" Rorie, born January 9th, 1916 in Morganton, AR, was a professional baseball player from 1934-1935.

Rorie played with both Fayetteville and Rogers in the 1935 Arkansas State League.

Rorie die on July 29th, 2005 in Foley, AL,1 and was buried in Pine Rest Cemetery in Foley.2

"Harrell Wendell Rorie, 89, died Friday, July 29, 2005, in the hospital in Foley, Ala. He was born Jan. 9, 1916, in Morganton, Ark., the first child of James Franklin Rorie and Laura Alice Presley Rorie. He grew up in Conway and graduated from Conway High School. In his early years, he played semi-professional baseball. He retired from National Biscuit Company. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Erie Edwards Rorie. His survivors include three sons, James Harrell Rorie of Foley, Ala., William Edward Rorie and his wife, Betty Rorie, of Marietta, Ga., and Charles Michael Rorie and his wife, Lilly, of Siler City, N. C.; three sisters, Valda Rorie and Laura Jean Hogan, both of Conway; and Wilma Ruth Kolodzaike of La Porte, Texas. The funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Aug. 1, 2005, at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley, Ala., followed by burial at Pine Rest Cemetery.""4
