"Mr. J. C. Robertson, age 85, of Prescott, Arkansas, formerly of Fouke, Arkansas, died Sunday, November 13, 2016, in a Prescott nursing home. Mr. Robertson was born September 8, 1931, in Fouke, Arkansas. He was a graduate of Fouke High School and the University of Arkansas. He had been a school Teacher in Fouke and Texarkana, had been an umpire for the Minor League of West Texas, was retired store manager at J. C. Penney, and was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in Korea. Survivors include his wife, Norma McBride Robertson of Prescott, Arkansas, two sons and daughters-in-law, Clay and Kathy Robertson of Big Sandy, Texas, and Harlan and Dana Robertson of Gilmer, Texas, one daughter, Sheila Tate of Ozark, Missouri, one step-son, Joe Riley of Bakersfield, California, one step-daughter, Kathy Collingsworth of Garland, Texas, one brother-in-law, Bill McBride of Prescott, Arkansas, ten grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.Memorial services will be at 1:00 P. M. Friday at the Texarkana Funeral Home Arkansas Chapel with Frank McFerrin officiating. Private burial will be at Concord Cemetery."4
