Leigh McClendon

Leigh Alexander McClendon, born January 2nd, 1886 in Lewisville, AR1 , was a professional baseball player from 1909-1912. He was the father of Harlan McClendon2 .

Biography

McClendon played for Newport in 1909, Jonesboro in 1910 and Texarkana in 19123 .

McClendon's son Charles Youmans McClendon became a successful football coach and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

McClendon died December 6th, 1925 and was buried in Wilson Cemetery in Lewisville, AR.4
