"Paul W. Evatt, 86, of Hot Springs Village, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008, at home. Born July 1, 1921, in Bilby, Okla., to Wiley and Katie Hubbard Evatt, he owned and operated Paul's Sporting Goods and Liquor Store, Fresno, Calif., was a member of Elks Lodge, former professional baseball player and U.S. Army/Air Force Wo rld War II veteran. He was predeceased by one brother, Gordon Evatt, and one sister, Shirley Iddings. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Evelyn Jean Eitens Evatt, of Hot Springs Village; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Bruce Evatt, of Grants Pass, Ore., and Eric and Catalina Evatt, of Mexico; two daughters and sons-inlaw, Paula and Bob Bock, of Tucson, Ariz., and Cris and Dave Williams, of Princeville, Hawaii; four stepdaughters and two stepsons-in-law, Linda Gaylor, of Upland, Calif., Mary and John Reynolds, of Woodinville, Wash., Diane Blangsted, of Sanford, Fla., and Sharon and Tim Williams, of Moklumme Hill, Calif; and one grandchild, Erica Evatt. The memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday in Cedar-Vale Funeral Home chapel with Tim Williams and Wanda Bonner officiating."4
