Reynold Maus

Reynold P. Maus, born December 20th, 19091 in Arkansas,2 was a professional baseball player with Fayetteville in the 1934 Arkansas State League. He was the brother of Henry Maus.

Biography

Maus died on July 22nd, 1987 and was buried in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Paris, AR.3

"Reynolds [sic] Maus, older brother of Henry Maus, outfielder with the [Fayetteville] Bears early in the season, will join the Bears today. Reynolds [sic] is a big right-handed hurler."4

"Reynolds Maus, Fayetteville Bear hurler for the past two months, was given his release yesterday in order to be on hand for the opening of the Subiaco College at Subiaco, Ark., where he serves as teacher and coach. Maus is director of athletics and handles the coaching of football, basketball and baseball. He also teaches history, science and languages."5

"Reynolds [sic] Maus, a 23-year-old college professor, left the Fayetteville Bears before the season closed to take up his duties as coach and teacher at Subiaco, Ark., College. Maus is right-handed pitcher."6
