Toussaint Atkinson

Toussaint Lee Atkinson, born July 28th, 1910 in Arkansas,1 was a Negro League baseball player with the Butte Colored Giants from 1933-1936. He was the brother of Luther Atkinson and the cousin of Connie Rector.2

Atkinson was the son of Porter J. Atkinson and Isabell (nee Trigg) Atkinson and grew up near Arkadelphia, AR.3

During his playing career, Atkinson appeared in newspapers as "Atkins."

Atkinson later moved near San Francisco, CA. 4 Atkinson died on October 1st, 1958 in San Francisco, CA.5 He was buried in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma, CA.6
2 Atkinson's mother, Isabel (nee Trigg) Atkinson, was the sister of Connie Rector's mother, Catherine (nee Trigg) Rector.
