""Funeral services for David Wayne Moon, 73, of 316 Oak Street, Trumann, will be Tuesday afternoon at 1 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Marion Gramling officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Bill Cook, Lonnie Reeves, Casey Davis, Kyle Moon, Jason Moon and Tate Moore. Honorary pallbearers will include Ed Hugh Easton. Moon died Saturday evening at his home. He was born in Bay and lived in Conway for several years before moving to Trumann in 1972. He was a retired sales representative for an educational materials publisher and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Methodist Church. While attending Arkansas State University, he was a member of the baseball team and went on to play minor league baseball for the Southern Baseball League in Texas and Louisiana. He later taught school in McCormick and Caraway. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Connie Dee Moon and by one brother, James Travis Moon. Survivors include two daughters, Dollie Davis of Conway and Cindy Certain of Heber Springs; two sons, Bandy Moon of Jonesboro and Scott Moon of Blue Eye, Mo.; one sister, Loretta Forrester of Trumann; one brother, Wallace Moon of Bryan, Texas; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 this evening at the funeral home."1
