Cunningham was the son of Lorne Cunningham and Ethel (nee Lewis) Cunningham. He moved from Snow Lake, AR to Brooklyn, IL as a child.3
Cunningham, a pitcher, played one season in the Mississippi-Ohio League with Mt. Vernon and Danville. He went 3-8 in 21 games.
Cunningham died on May 24th, 2011. He was buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in Lemay, MO.4
