Liberto was the son of Italian immigrants Vincent Liberto and Minnie (nee Cantieno) Liberto.
Liberto died on September 12th, 1995 in Los Angeles, CA.3 He was buried in Inglewood Park Cemetery in Inglewood, CA.4
